4 Nong Air
And I Rise
Join in supporting Air and her family as they continue to RISE above obstacles. Witness the JOY that flows from them with every opportunity provided.

the obstacles…
Air is an Akha hill tribe child who at the age of nine months was infected with Japanese Encephalitis resulting in her having complex medical and developmental needs.
As she grew older, Air had more frequent hospital admissions and in 2019 she became critically ill, spending over 3 months inpatient requiring ventilator support. Hospital staff told Air’s mom, Yupin, that Air’s survival was unlikely. Oh, but she is STRONG. Upon discharge, Air and her mom moved from their mountain village to the city in order to receive proper medical treatment and therapeutic intervention. Yupin also arranged for her older daughter, Paerwa, to transfer to a boarding school near their new home. At this time the family depends fully on sponsors to meet their most basic needs.

the achievements…
Yupin and and her girls are thriving in their new environments.
YUPIN is often asked … “what is your job?” her eyes sometimes shift downward with this question. The answer in fact is “she is a teacher, a nurse, a therapist, a craftsman, an encourager.”
PAERWA is happy at her new school, a well-regarded private school
that offers full scholarships to children from her boarding home.
The home cares for 35 children from the Northern Hill tribes.
Yupin and Air visit regularly and they all look forward to
spending school holidays together.
AIR had surgery to place a permanent gastrostomy tube for feeding in February, there were complications with recovery requiring a month long hospitalization. We are thankful that since her discharge she has been free of any serious illness and is making gains in her overall development. Air has a full schedule: attending classes with Yupin by her side at the Special Education Center, weekly therapies at the Children’s Institute, participating in Sunday School at their church, and lots of time out & about in the community. Her smile is a gift to all she encounters.

How You Can Help
Sponsor or donate towards a specific need
While we seek to find partner organizations to serve as an umbrella for donations and sponsorship the family’s needs are great. As of October 2020, they require an additional $400 USD per month to have their needs fully met. An itemization of expenses can be found here…https://4nongair.wordpress.com/monthly-expenses/
Share their story
There is great truth in the saying “It takes a village”. In addition to the need for financial supporters, encouragment and guidance is always appreciated.
Purchase handicrafts
Yupin has been creating Akha embroidery items and designing fabric toys and gifts using the sewing machine gifted by a dear friend. She is very talented and longs to provide for her family and others. Items can be purchased through her Facebook shop
THANK YOU ขอบคุณค่ะ
